Climate Policy Breakfast: Climate Change, Vulnerability & Social Cohesion

INZEB, in its capacity as the European Climate Pact Country Coordinator in Greeceis organising the Climate Policy Breakfast “Climate Change, Vulnerability & Social Cohesion”, to be held on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, in Athens.

Bringing together representatives of institutional, scientific and civil society organisations, as well as European Climate Pact Ambassadors and Partners, the event is designed as a closed, structured policy discussion aimed at highlighting issues concerning the relationship between climate policies and the social reality in which they are implemented, as well as the challenges of implementation within a multilevel system of governance.

The discussion will centre on the social dimensions of climate transition in Greece, exploring how climate change increasingly intersects with social cohesion, public health, governance capacity, inequalities and institutional implementation challenges within the Greek context.

The Climate Policy Breakfast will take place under the Chatham House Rule, enabling participants to exchange views and concerns on an equal footing.

The activity forms part of the European Climate Pact community’s ongoing efforts in the country to strengthen structured dialogue on the climate transition, social resilience, and inclusive climate governance.
