INZEB is excited to announce an upcoming capacity-building workshop exclusively designed for EU Climate Pact Ambassadors of Greece. Titled “Climate Pact Ambassadors Influencing Local Authorities to Take Climate Action”, this event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 29th December 2024, from 15:30 to 17:00 (EET).
In alignment with the mission of the Climate Pact, this workshop aims to empower Ambassadors to effectively engage with local authorities, urging them to design, adopt, and implement climate strategies. By equipping Ambassadors with the knowledge and tools necessary to influence policy decisions, the workshop seeks to catalyse meaningful climate action at the grassroots level.
The event will be conducted via Zoom, providing Ambassadors with a platform to convene and collaborate despite geographical boundaries. Featuring a distinguished lineup of speakers, including senior experts and experienced Ambassadors, the workshop promises to offer valuable insights and practical strategies for driving local climate action.
Key sessions will cover topics such as local authorities’ climate action in Greece, EU missions for climate-neutral and smart cities, climate data utilisation, sustainable development reports, circular management of sewage sludge, and best practices from Grevena Municipality.
While the event is exclusive to EU Climate Pact Ambassadors of Greece, it represents a significant opportunity for these dedicated individuals to enhance their advocacy skills and deepen their impact on local climate initiatives. By fostering dialogue and knowledge sharing among Ambassadors, the workshop aims to strengthen the collective efforts towards achieving the goals of the Climate Pact. We invite all EU Climate Pact Ambassadors of Greece to mark their calendars and participate in this important capacity-building workshop. Stay tuned for further details.
Let’s come together to empower Ambassadors and amplify their voices in driving transformative climate action within their communities. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against climate change.
