INZEB participated in the 5th International Scientific Conference of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Crete “School Development Forms for a Sustainable Future: New Horizons in Modern Education and School Leadership”, that took place 1-3 March 2024. The conference was under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports and the Regional Directorate Education of Crete.
Eleftheria Touloupaki, Project Manager in INZEB and member of the Coordination team of the EU Climate Pact in Greece, was invited to join the roundtable “Climate change or already a crisis?”, on March 2nd, 2024. She exchanged her views on climate change and climate crisis, and shared her insights on EU Climate Pact activities in Greece. Moreover, she highlighted how working with Climate Pact Ambassadors and the wider Climate Pact community can foster and amplify climate action on the ground.
The roundtable session was also participated by Dr. Efthymios Lekkas, Professor of Dynamic Tectonic Applied Geology & Disaster Management, Department of Geology and Geoenvironment, at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Mrs Monachou Faidra, Assistant Professor of Operations Management Yale School of Management at Yale University, Mr Ioannis Anastasakis, Civil Engineer, MSc, MBA, Vice governor for climate change and urban mobility – Prefecture of Crete, Dr. Vassilios Karavezyris, Head of Division T II 4, Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection, Bonn and by Mr Loucas Katicas, PhD in Geospatial Sciences, Environmentalist and GIS Specialist, Researcher at Ellinogermaniki Agogi.
