INZEB in collaboration with the Municipality of Ampelokipoi-Menemeni, and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, is hosting the final event of the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH), on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10:00 EEST. The event, titled “Results of Technical Assistance for Addressing Energy Poverty in the Municipality of Ampelokipoi-Menemeni“, will feature discussions with experts and representatives from local organisations on proposed solutions to tackle this pressing issue.
The event will be opened by Maria Spyraki, Member of the European Parliament for the European People’s Party, who will highlight the collaboration between the EPAH supported by the EU, and the Municipality of Ampelokipoi-Menemeni.
INZEB, in collaboration with the municipality’s technical and social services and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, provided a 9-month technical assistance programme within the framework of EPAH. The aim of this assistance was to establish a framework for diagnosing energy poverty in the municipality, with the results leading to the development of specific proposals and actions to mitigate the problem. The final event, taking place at the Municipal Council Hall in the Ampelokipoi-Menemeni Municipality building, will showcase the outcomes of the diagnosis and facilitate discussions on practical steps to alleviate energy poverty.
