The article analyses how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support climate policy and diplomacy in the European Union through the collection and analysis of large volumes of environmental, energy, and socioeconomic data, as well as through decision-making processes grounded in transparency and participation.
The article also examines the crucial challenges that come with AI and the need to integrate these tools into an ethical and human-centered framework.
The author concludes that aligning AI with democratic participation and social justice is the greatest challenge for European diplomacy, and a necessary requirement for the successful implementation of the green transition.
