The 1st Working Group Meeting of the SMAFIN Expanded project in Greece was held online on Friday, February 23rd, 2024.
To achieve the goals of the project, to support smart financing implementation of energy efficiency investments in private and public buildings, tertiary sector and SMEs, the Greek project partners have established a national Working Group (WG) selecting it members, so that all of the above sectors, including the financial sector, are represented and can benefit the project. The WG members are stakeholders that bring their expertise and provide their insights, knowledge, and suggestions to be used for the efficient project implementation.
During the meeting the 1st Working Group, WG members were informed in detail about the objectives of the SMAFIN Expanded project, analysed the role of the WG, and explored the national energy efficiency financing priorities before the 1st National Roundtable in Greece in May 2024. Special consideration was given to the upgrade of policy measures, and the development or upgrade of the existing financial instruments to support investments in energy efficiency. The Greek project partners, with the support of the WG, were able to select the policy measures that will set the basis for the discussion during the National Roundtable, and identify speakers for its sessions.
