On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, we succesfully completed a training session for employees of the Municipality of Athens focused on Athens Energy Portal, an innovative digital platform which supports the City of Athens in advancing climate action, energy efficiency, and social equity.
The training marked another important step in strengthening the capacity and skills of municipal staff, enabling them to fully benefit from the platform’s latest capabilities and supporting its effective adoption in everyday municipal operations and planning activities.
The Athens Energy Portal was developed by the National Technical University of Athens, INZEB, and in collaboration with the Municipality of the City of Athens, with funding from the ICLEI Europe Action Fund.
The platform integrates real-time energy monitoring across more than 50 public buildings with artificial intelligence tools, enabling smarter energy management and optimised energy consumption.
