The SMAFIN Expanded project partners recently celebrated the successful conclusion of the first year of the project.
During the second (in person) project meeting, held in Bucharest, Romania, on October 1 and 2, 2024, the partners had the opportunity to reconnect and review the results from the first year of the project. Intricate details, challenges, and upcoming activities were discussed. SMAFIN Expanded project’s next steps were carefully strategised, outlining and planning the objectives and activities for the second and third years. Under the hospitality of the Romanian partner, Romania Green Building Council, the partners spend two days of productive and constructive work, covering all the agenda topics.
SMAFIN Expanded project partners continue and reinforce their efforts to upgrade policy measures, develop financial instruments, and support the development of investment programmes that mobilise private finance for investments in energy efficiency in the Balkan region.
