SMAFIN Expanded: Market Analysis on Financial Models for Energy Efficiency

The SMAFIN Expanded project compiled a collection of all financing models and existing motives for the energy efficiency in buildings (public and private), SMEs, and buildings of the tertiary sector. It expands on the legacy of the national reports developed under the SMAFIN project.


After reviewing the financing schemes in Greece and considering the existing platforms on energy efficiency financing at EU level, it recorded the obstacles, legal constraints, and identified risks and gaps, that hinder the leverage of private funds for energy efficiency investments in the involved sectors.
