The phenomenon of energy poverty is now globally identified, which has worsened in the recent years affecting even the most viable countries. The COVID-19 pandemic is also helping to exacerbate the phenomenon, as research shows that we now spend more time at home than we did in the recent past.
INZEB, in collaboration with Heinrich Böll Stiftung, conducted a survey through a questionnaire that was answered by men and women from all over Greece, wanting to capture the level of public awareness about the phenomenon of energy poverty, how much citizens living in Greece know for this, if they consider consumers as a part of the solution to alleviate it and what could these solutions be with a focus on citizens.
Through this report, which presents the results of the research, the aim is not only to understand the citizens’ awareness on the phenomenon of energy poverty but also to contribute to the development of targeted policies to address it.
The report will be soon available in English.
