POWERPOOR goes to Crete!

Under the auspices of the Region of Crete, INZEB in collaboration with MINOAN ENERGY COMMUNITY is organising a training programme and an Info Day followed by a workshop within the frame of the H2020 POWERPOOR project in Heraklion, Crete.


The Energy Supporters and Mentors training programme is taking place on Thursday 20 October 2022, from 14.30 to 19.30 EEST. The trainees will have the opportunity to receive the necessary knowledge regarding energy poverty mitigation and have a real-time demonstration of the tools developed under POWERPOOR, focusing on technologies and techniques to address and tackle the phenomenon. A certification process will follow, allowing the successful candidates to be part of the Energy Supporters and Mentors’ extensive network, already counting 120+ certified members in Greece and 600+ across the EU.

The POWERPOOR Info Day will take place on Friday 21 October 2022, from 09.30 to 16.45 EEST. The Info Day is organised with the scope to inform and empower citizens towards energy poverty alleviation, exchange relevant knowledge, best practices, information, lessons learned, and advance regional initiatives toward energy poverty mitigation. The POWERPOOR Info Day will be followed by a workshop in which invited civil society stakeholders and members of energy communities will discuss ways for common actions and potential synergies. The Info Day will also host a representative from the Energy Advisory Poverty Hub (EPAH) who will present and share information on the second public call for technical assistance to municipalities in addressing energy poverty.
