INZEB, the Country Coordinator for Greece of the EU Climate Pact, is organising the National EU Climate Pact – Navigating Climate Challenges in Greece event, with the support of the Representation of the European Commission in Greece. This pivotal event, taking place in Athens on Friday, January 26, 2024, promises to bring together environmental enthusiasts, policymakers, youth, and education institutions, and Climate Pact Ambassadors at the Impact Hub Athens for a day of discussion, learning, and strategic planning on crucial climate issues.
The six-hour event, starting at 09:30 – 15:30 EET, will feature a mix of welcome addresses, informative presentations, and interactive discussions with key stakeholders.
The activity will commence with an introduction to the Climate Pact Initiative, highlighting its aims and objectives. Subsequently, the focus will shift to Greece’s national climate policy and challenges, fostering active participation and collaborative brainstorming for solutions. Additionally, an exclusive closed session will be dedicated to Climate Pact Ambassadors, enabling in-depth discussions and strategic planning for effective climate action.
Special sessions will include a Climate Diplomacy B2B Discussion, focusing on the recently released opinion by the European Economic and Social Committee on “EU Climate Diplomacy”. The Youth and Climate Session, organised by Education for Climate (E4C), will feature topics like teachers mobilising pupils for climate action and inspiring stories. Additionally, the Climate Pact Ambassadors for Climate Action session presents short presentations on inspiring stories, best practices, and lessons learned, with interaction with the audience.
