Sustainable MED Cities is proud to announce its upcoming Final Conference in Athens, Greece, on 23 November 2023, and we are excited to share that INZEB will play a pivotal role in this essential event. As the Country Coordinator for Greece within the European Climate Pact, INZEB, represented by Managing Director Alice Corovessi, will take the stage to address crucial climate issues.
The International Conference on Sustainable Mediterranean Cities is a momentous occasion dedicated to showcasing the achievements of the Sustainable MED Cities project. This project has been diligently working to develop effective policies, strategies, and action plans aligned with the Mediterranean Strategy for Sustainable Development 2016-2025. The overarching goal is to enhance the capacity of public administrations in delivering, implementing, and monitoring measures that improve the sustainability of cities, neighborhoods, and buildings, with a strong focus on energy efficiency and the promotion of participatory processes.
The Sustainable MED Cities project has made significant strides towards creating sustainable urban planning solutions. During the Final Conference, the partners will unveil three common tools and methodologies that will pave the way for more sustainable cities. This promises to be an enriching and insightful experience for all those involved, providing an opportunity to learn more about the project’s results and engage in discussions with key stakeholders, municipal representatives, and associated partners.
One remarkable aspect of this event is that there will be no registration fee, making it accessible to a wide range of participants who are passionate about sustainability and urban development. This inclusive approach aligns perfectly with the project’s goals of fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing for the betterment of Mediterranean cities.
INZEB’s involvement in the event is particularly noteworthy. As the Country Coordinator for Greece within the European Climate Pact, INZEB has been instrumental in driving climate action initiatives in the region. During the conference, Managing Director Alice Corovessi will address the Climate Pact, providing valuable insights into Greece’s contributions to this important international effort. INZEB’s participation underscores its commitment to sustainable development and its influential role in shaping the future of the climate agenda.
As the conference date approaches, we encourage everyone interested in sustainable urban development, energy efficiency, and climate action to save the date, 23 November 2023.
