INZEB at the “Switch On Sustainability” Conference

On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 10:00 to 15:45, the Energy Poverty Alleviation Office of the Municipality of Athens is organising the conference “Switch On Sustainability” as part of the Sustainable Energy Week 2026. The event will take place at the Serafio Athletic and Community Complex.

Bringing together representatives from local governments, the business sector, the academia, European and international organizations, as well as energy and sustainability experts, the workshop aims to serve as a dynamic hub for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and the promotion of innovative solutions to address energy poverty and promote sustainable development at the local and international levels.

Contributing to the showcase of good practices and current actionable approaches for more resilient and sustainable cities, Dr Alexandra Politaki will present our project “Helping Homes Become Resilient in Climate-Affected Greece”, co-funded by the European Climate Foundation. Her contribution will include key-findings from field research conducted with climate-affected populations in Thessaly and Crete, focusing on their lived experiences and priorities as well as their perceptions towards recovery, following the loss or destruction of their homes and the climate-related trauma.
