ΙΝΖΕΒ AT EPAH’s POLICY CONFERENCE IN BRUSSELS

INZEB participates in the policy conference “Empowering Local Actors in Bridging Policy and Practice in Tackling Energy Poverty Closer to EU Citizens”, organised by the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub in Brussels, on April 10th, 2024.

This essential one-day conference is a testament to the collective effort to spotlight Europe’s critical issue of energy poverty. It brings together an esteemed assembly of experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the continent, united in their mission to address this pressing issue. The agenda is robust, featuring discussions that evaluate current strategies, advocate for substantive measures, and explore the influential role of local governments, especially as Member States gear up to update their National Energy and Climate Plans by June 2024.

On behalf of INZEB, Alice Corovessi participates in the panel discussion “Local Governments in the Forefront: Policy Needs and Recommendations from European City Representatives.” The session will present and discuss the results of the dialogues with local authorities organised before the conference in Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Spain. The primary focus will be sharing valuable lessons learned and implementing policy recommendations applicable to governance at all levels. More information on the policy conference is available on EPAH’s website here.
