iBRoad2EPC project in HeDA’s Business Review April 2023

Αn article about the iBRoad2EPC H2020 project is included in HeDA’s Business Review, written by Alice Corovessi, Managing Director of INZEB. The article highlights the revision of the Energy Performance Buildings Directive (EPBD) and the new era it brings to the building sector. The EPBD aims to achieve a highly energy-efficient and decarbonised building stock by 2050, and the iBRoad2EPC project is a step towards this goal. The project integrates the Building Renovation Passport elements into Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) schemes to facilitate the deep renovation of a critical mass of buildings to reach the EU’s climate objectives.

The iBRoad2EPC project is building on the results of the iBRoad project, which developed a model for the Building Renovation Passport supporting single-family homeowners. The aim is to expand, improve, and broaden the format and joint scope of EPCs to consider additional features and become applicable also to multi-family and public buildings.
