Explore ESG and CRR at the Upcoming Info Day by the Association of Greek Valuers

Scheduled for February 17th, 2024, in Athens, the Info Day organised by the Association of Greek Valuers is poised to be a transformative event for industry professionals. With a focus on Environmental Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) and Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR), this gathering promises to offer invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of property valuation.

INZEB is thrilled to announce its participation in this event as an invited speaker, represented by its Managing Director, Alice Corovessi, who will contribute to the discussions surrounding sustainable building practices, particularly in the context of One Stop Shops, Building Renovation Passports and the revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

Among the topics discussed with the valuation community will be the imperative to increase the annual renovation rate targeting Worst Performing Buildings (WPBs), the enhancement of air quality, and the digitisation of building energy systems. Alice Corovessi will also emphasise the significance of Member States’ autonomy in decision-making regarding renovation measures tailored to their specific national contexts.

The Info Day will be an excellent opportunity to present the aim and scope of the newly launched EPBD.wise project in which INZEB is engaged. The project will support public authorities in six focus countries to design, implement, and evaluate these key instruments introduced by the Commission’s EPBD proposal, including the new zero-emission building standard, National Building Renovation Plans (NBRP), Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS), Building Renovation Passports (BRPs), and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).

The presentation will also focus on the Horizon 2020 iBRoad2EPC project developments in Greece as the project enters its final stage. The iBRoad2EPC Assistant will be tested in 10 public buildings nationwide during this period. The valuers will have first-hand experience as they access it via a QR Code building passport and will have the opportunity to see how the document is and what functionalities are included.

The Info Day provides an ideal platform for experts to share their insights while also learning from the diverse perspectives of fellow professionals. The Association of Greek Valuers has curated a compelling agenda, featuring renowned speakers such as Mr. Michael MacBrien, General Director of the European Property Federation (EPF). Together, we will explore the implications of ESG and CRR on property valuation practices and discuss strategies for navigating the evolving regulatory landscape.
