Renovation Wave: What’s in for Greece

On 29 January 2020, the European Commission’s new work programme was published. Under the first priority – ‘a European Green Deal’, the Commission announced its intention to launch a ‘Renovation Wave’ initiative in the buildings sector. According to the work programme, this initiative should be adopted in the third quarter of 2020. Currently, only around 1% of buildings in the EU are renovated each year. A faster rate of renovation is necessary to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

In the context of this initiative, INZEB is organising on Thursday, May 28th, 2020, at 13.00 CET an online discussion on the Renovation Wave and how Greece could benefit from this new initiative.
