On January 25, 2026, INZEB, in collaboration with the Network of Women Enterpreneurship Western Macedonia Greece, is organising an Energy Café within the framework of the POWERINGCITIZENS project.
The POWERINGCITIZENS project is co-funded by the European Commission through the CERV Programme. It focuses on empowering vulnerable groups across Europe, especially young people, by raising awareness, providing training, and fostering active involvement in EU energy policies to ensure a fair and inclusive transition.
The event will include an interactive discussion on energy poverty, the factors shaping this phenomenon, and its social and economic impact. The discussion will focus on households’ everyday energy habits, the ways in which the climate crisis affects energy consumption, and issues related to adaptation to the climate crisis.
Particular emphasis will be given to participants’ perceptions of energy costs and energy bills management, the relationship between living conditions and energy challenges, and the link between social justice and the energy transition.
The event will take place on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 18:00, at Hotel Calma in Kastoria.
