Everyday Climate – Greener Choices, Real Life | Vol.1: From Rooftop to Kitchen – Greener Eating and Local Growing Made Easy

As climate change continues to shape our daily realities, our everyday choices matter more than ever. INZEB, the EU Climate Pact Country Coordinator for Greece, invites you to the first session of the new online series “Everyday Climate – Greener Choices, Real Life”, an initiative designed to help citizens decode sustainability and apply it meaningfully in their day-to-day lives. The session will be held on Thursday, September 25th, 2025, at 15.30 EEST with a duration of 90 minutes.

In this opening session, titled “From Rooftop to Kitchen: Greener Eating and Local Growing Made Easy”, we will explore how urban residents can adopt more climate-responsible food practices, not through drastic overhauls, but by rethinking how and where food is grown and consumed.

During the session, we will examine:

  • How citizens can transition to more sustainable and climate-conscious dietary habits.
  • Real-life examples of small-scale urban agriculture, from rooftop gardens to balcony pots and community spaces.
  • What “local production” really entails, and how it can be integrated into everyday consumption patterns.
  • Whether you’re a climate-conscious citizen, a policy enthusiast, or simply curious about sustainable food systems, this session will offer practical insights and hands-on inspiration for turning awareness into action.
