We are very pleased to announce that the kick-off meeting of our new LIFE project ASSUMMER was succesfully held in Rome, on 8-9 September 2026.
Hosted by Aisfor, the meeting brought together representatives from 11 partner organisations, who discussed the project’s work plan and paved the way for the successful achievement of its outcomes.
Our new project aims to address the challenge of summer energy poverty, an issue that remains absent from European agendas, despite its growing impact because of climate change and frequent heatwaves. The project will achieve its objective by establishing operational, multi-actor Summer Energy Poverty National Coordination Structures (SEP-NCS) in Italy, Spain, France, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and Cyprus, to coordinate and support policy actors to implement coherent actions against summer energy poverty.
The core aims of the ASSUMMER project are to bridge national policy frameworks with local implementation, ensuring adaptive strategies, and empower frontline actors by building their operational capacity and providing training. These efforts will lay the foundations for ensuring the transferability and long-term sustainability of the project’s results.
We look forward to working together to turn knowledge into concrete action for a more climate-resilient Europe!
