The article discusses the concept of climate justice and how it highlights issues of state responsibility and accountability.
Emphasis is placed on the Opinion of the International Court of Justice (2025) on states’ obligations in respect of climate change and climate litigation, its importance for the international law, and how it may pave the way for compensation claims before national or international courts by states or affected communities.
