On November 18–19, 2025, INZEB will participate in the NextGen Urban Mobility Academy (NUMA) 9th & 10th Stakeholder Meetings in Athens.
The NUMA project is implemented within the framework of the EIT Urban Mobility RIS Education Program and aims to promote innovative, sustainable, and inclusive urban mobility solutions in Athens and Istanbul, two cities that face significant challenges such as traffic congestion, air pollution, and gaps in urban mobility knowledge.
Our Managing Director, Alice Corovessi, will contribute to the 9th Stakeholder meeting on November 18, 2025, entitled “Strategic Planning and Innovation: The Role of SUMPs and Civic Engagement in Urban Mobility” by sharing insights on Climate Citizens’ Assemblies and on how such processes can lead to more socially inclusive and effective mobility transitions. Her presentation “Civic Participation for Climate-Neutral Cities: What Can Urban Mobility Learn from Citizens’ Assemblies?” will feature international case studies and highlight how local authorities can adopt citizens’ assemblies to guide green mobility initiatives.
In the 10th Stakeholder Meeting, οn November 19, 2025, entitled “Integrated Solutions for Resilient Urban Mobility: Equity, Electrification, and Innovation”, Alice Corovessi will address how energy poverty deepens urban inequalities by limiting citizens’ access to affordable and reliable transport options. Her presentation “Tackling Energy Poverty Through Sustainable Urban Mobility: Inclusive Policies for Resilient Cities” will explore the relationship between energy poverty and urban mobility, focusing on how it affects the use of public transport, access to services, and inclusion in mobility planning.
The 9th & 10th NUMA Stakeholder Meetings will take place in person at the University of West Attica and online on Tuesday, November 18, and Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
